On August 18th 2010, a discussion meeting, “Sharpening up” the CPAs, was held at the institute to discuss the future of the CPA profession in Japan. At the meeting, member CPAs together with key figures from the academic community and other fields jointly debated various issues and challenges surrounding the CPA profession in Japan.

On July 14, 2010, the joint meeting of the Sixth IFRS Council meeting and the Third International Affairs Committee meeting were held at the Financial Accounting Standards Foundation.
In addition, on August 25, 2010, the joint meeting of the Seventh IFRS Council meeting and the Fourth International Affairs Committee meeting were held at the Financial Accounting Standards Foundation.
